Decade of Action for Road Safety

Yesterday afternoon I have receive a text message saying don't be alarmed if you hear sirens blaring, church bells ringing and horns blowing for 30 seconds.  That is by 8am today, few more minutes from now.  It will be the launching Decade of Action for Road Safety it says.


I was like, "what is it then?" So early today I decided to read about it over the internet.  Decade of road Safety is a worldwide campaign of the United Nations "to curb the shocking 1.3 million deaths from road traffic crashes a year..."(Inquirer)
